I'm a visual artist/linocut printmaker based in Ballarat, Central Victoria, Australia. I also have a passion for permaculture, having obtained a Permaculture Design Certificate from Geoff Lawson, and I aim to use my art to raise awareness about environmental conservation, habitat restoration and wildlife protection.
My journey as a linocut printmaker is deeply rooted in my diverse life history. My art not only reflects my personal journey but also experiences gained in my professional work as an Emergency Recovery professional. I'm deeply motivated to build awareness of the importance of conservation and restoration of our natural world and also utilise the healing powers of art for all people.
I have packed a lot into the last two years since I was introduced to the linocut print world. I have produced over a hundred original artworks, participated in many group exhibitions, received a few awards, become the Workshop Coordinator for the Ballarat Society of Artists and held three solo exhibitions!
Please refer to my artists CV below for more details of my art practice.
I believe that the process of creating art should be just as fulfilling as the finished piece. I spend many hours on my large scale, detailed prints- in excess of 100 hours for some artworks. Production quality is extremely important to me and I use only the best materials and methods to ensure each print is meticulously handcrafted.
