My linocut print "Moment shared" is one of 65 finalists for the Hornsby Art Prize from a pool of 565! How exciting that I will be exhibiting in Sydney- opening Oct 25!
The third-instalment of a Ballarat-based icon's signature mural has been revealed. The Haymes Paint "Man on the Ladder"" figure has been added to the business' Creswick Rd Showroom, reimagined by lino printmaker Amanda Western.
"Country Lane" is selected as one of forty finalists for the 2024 Sunshine Coast National Art Prize!
The forty artworks selected as finalists will be exhibited at the Caloundra Regional Gallery from 24 August until 13 October 2024. Winner to be announced on 3rd October 2024.
Amanda was commissioned by the City of Ballarat to create a large mural for the Winter Festival. The focal point of the mural features two swans with their necks forming a heart shape. The swans are sized to allow two people to comfortably cuddle up between their love-shaped necks, creating a perfect spot for a memorable and romantic photo opportunity.
Amanda's "On the Sheep's Back" artwork won First prize "All other mediums" at the Rotary Bachus Marsh Annual Art Show. This limited prints measures 89 x 75 cm and is printed on a felted-wool blanket.
Amanda's Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo artwork won First prize at Geelong Art Society Linework Exhibition. This limited edition of ten hand-painted prints measures 72 x 102 cm.
Amanda presents a new collection of Australian landscapes and wildlife from across the world. Opening 13th April until the 28th, it is also part of the Golden Plains Arts Trail.
The Ross Creek Gallery is home to well-known young ceramicist, Ruby Pilven, who's work is also on display and available for purchase.
Jen Kaess and Amanda have opened a gallery to host Amanda's linocut prints on a permanent basis. Housed within the Edwardian practice of Jen's Hand Therapy clinic, the foyer, hallway and clinical room feature artworks from across Amanda's collections.
